I can understand that. But she doesn't. She only just met you this morning. And this place, this decor, while it may seem comforting and familiar to you. It is also familiar to her. She looks around and is reminded of the man who tormented her, attempted to seduce, brainwash, and ultimately enslave her. It terrified her. Now, I'm not saying that's your fault. Hence why you're still alive. You handeled yourself well. I don't fault you for that. But what I do fault you for is your final reaction. That's ok, You're constantly being compared to him. That must be upsetting for you. But you have to expect it, understand it, and just do your best to show off how different you are. Not reinforce how much you're the same. And you are similar, you can't deny that. Are you your grandfather? No. But you have to make them see that. And acting like it, it won't help. Even if you can't help who you are, you can help how others percieve you.

I understand I do but I like this décor I like this life style I just don't want to be evil

I know you don't. But regardless. {he places his hand on your shoulder} relax. Be yourself. But be yourself through the lens of those that don't know you, see yourself as they see you, and use that filter to guide your actions. Only then, can you truly show your true self without fear being the primary reaction. And besides, the decor is fine. A little.... drab for my personal taste, but it suits you. It just might not suit everyone, so maybe a little warning before the invite, yes?
